Make room as you digest more Kamen Rider Gavv reveals! A bit of old and new as SHODO-XX returns!
Good day, everyone. Scott here to give you the lowdown on the soon to be Kamen Rider Gavv releases coming… tomorrow?! On top of that, SHODO-XX finally makes a return with a reveal of characters to look forward to. I’d say it’s about 50% Showa and 50% Heisei; so much to look forward to!
Lets dive in…
SODO Kamen Rider Gavv #1
With Kamen Rider Gavv’s initial SODO set releasing tomorrow, we get a better look at some of the contents involved; more precisely, Punchin Gummy and Zaku Zaku Chips form!
Of course the Bandai Candy team couldn’t resist recreating the scenes from Gavv’s debut episode! If you’re wanting a better look at the base form, hit the link below…

Instead, we’ll be taking a look at Gavv’s ‘crunchiest’ form: “Zaku Zaku Chips”.
Here we can see the under suit or rather the mid-henshin form as well as the Zaku Zaku Chips armour separated from the figure. Both forms made an appearance in episode 2 which ramps up the excitement to own this set.
Please remember that unlike previous SODO lines, each form will just be the armour pieces and if you want to display multiple Gavv forms simultaneously, you’re going to need multiple ‘Poppin Gummy’ form SODO kits.
Also, don’t forget to equip him with his Zakuzakuchipslasher!!! It allows Kamen Rider Gavv to chip away at his opponents…
Perhaps even consider taking a ‘Gaim’ approach and have Gavv use both the Zakuzakuchipslasher and the Gavvgablade simultaneously!
Next up, we make an impact as we knuckledrag our way through with ‘Punchin Gummy’…
Like ‘Kickin Gummy’, Punchin Gummy is made with clear PVC parts which help give it that nice candy/gummy look!
Pair it with Kickin Gummy to cause some delicious destruction to foes!

Kamen Rider Gavv Chocolate Snack
We ain’t done with Gavv yet folks! For another tasty release is also coming out… tomorrow?!
It’s finally here! The Kamen Rider Gavv Chocolate Snacks come with a delicious mix of milk and white chocolate balls which appeared roughly 14 minutes and 57 seconds into episode #2 of Kamen Rider Gavv. The difference here for y’all is that you get a nicely detailed diecast Kamen Rider mini figure out of it!!!
1 of 16 in fact; either in silver or gold! If you count them here, you’ll only get 15. As mentioned in previous SODO Sundays, the 16th figure is a ‘surprise’. One that the Bandai Candy team still won’t reveal ahead of it’s release date! Who do you think it is?

Are you excited for these?! I certainly am! Any doubles (or triples) I get, I might take a crack at giving them tabletop style paint jobs! Heck, you could probably use them to set up a cool Kamen Rider TTRPG with your friends. Alternatively, they just look cool to display.
This is what the box set looks like! Again, these arrive on Japanese shores tomorrow but like the SODO Kamen Rider Gavv set, it’s not too late to order these for yourself! Get your special orders in ASAP to avoid disappointment!
SHODO-XX Kamen Rider #10
After what feels like long time since the last SHODO Kamen Rider reveal, we have been blessed with the next and LAST Kamen Rider SHODO-XX set!!!
That’s right, you read that right! This will be the last SHODO-XX set… but not the last of SHODO (phew). More on that later…
Lets get a look at the offerings of SHODO-XX Kamen Rider #10.
First up is Kamen Rider ‘old’ Ichigo! Having just got the standard version of Ichigo in a previous SHODO-XX set not too long ago, you’d be forgiven for thinking this a lazy rehash except the figure doesn’t use the same mould. Personally, the colour scheme is my favourite for Ichigo!
Alongside Ichigo comes Kamen Rider ‘old’ Nigo! The second Rider makes his return with Ichigo instead of being placed in a separate set this time, with his old colour scheme to boot! If you missed out on the earlier version or the Shin Kamen Rider variants of these characters, this is your chance to add them to your SHODO collection. Even if you have the aforementioned figures, these still make an excellent addition!
The optional expansion pack of SHODO-XX #10 comes with these awesome kick effect pieces!!!
Next up is….another Ichigo!? That’s right! More specifically, the Sakurajima variant. A personal favourite colour scheme amongst fans and pairs up perfectly with ‘old’ Nigo!
We come back to Kamen Rider OOO with the Shauta Combination! The main figure comes with the Denkiunagi Whips in their natural state but with the optional expansion pack, gives you the handheld version of the Denkiunagi Whips!
Next we reach Kamen Rider OOO’s final form (kidding… or am I?) with Putotyra Combination. An excellent addition to your SHODO Kamen Rider OOO collection, especially with the optional expansion set…
Which comes with the Ptera Shield and Tail Divider, really adding some impressive mass to the figure! Along with the Medagabryu in both it’s ‘Axe’ and ‘Bazooka’ modes!
Finally, to cap off the Kamen Rider OOO selection and act as our villain/monster of the set is Mezool. Another fine addition to the Greed lineup. If you’re a fan of Kamen Rider OOO, you really won’t want to miss out on this SHODO-XX set!
In standard SODO Sunday fashion, here’s your last look at all the optional expansion set pieces! Definitely get this to enhance your figures for play or display.
Lastly as mentioned before, the SHODO-XX is coming to an end like SHODO-O and SHODO-X before it. Instead, the new SHODO line will be called “SHODO EXCEED”. A new name that ‘exceeds’ the lines before it perhaps? We’ll have to see when they reveal the first set in the line. Until then, look forward to the last of ‘SHODO-XX’ as the set is due to release January 2025.
