“CODENAME: ULTRAMAN”
As Ultraman Decker, the latest instalment of the long running Ultra Series has reached it’s conclusion, speculation of what is to come next is plentiful but Ultraman fans of the world need wonder no longer.
Ultraman Decker Finale: Journey to Beyond is streaming on Tsuburaya Imagination in Japan, and is available for rent on Ultraman Connection. Those who stayed for the post-credit scene were in for a treat, as the teaser for the next Ultraman show played after the credits stopped rolling.
Not much information is known for this new series, as its premise and name are still debated but the name most commonly associated with the new series is “Ultraman Blazar.”
While the teaser didn’t show much, it does give an albeit silhouetted look at the new suit and the background voiceover gives a possible idea of the tone of the show, hinting towards it being a lot more serious than past instalments.
The suit itself appears to have an exoskeleton-like appearance with a glowing crystal on the side of his head and a rather unique shaped colour timer, reminiscent of Ultraman Saga.
The teaser didn’t confirm or deny any of the name rumour, only displaying these words:
CODE NAME: ULTRAMAN
While I believe this may well be the title of the show, I am still going to wait, as according to the teaser, more information will be available on April 21st.
