The Sentai Summary: Boonboomger #8 Crashes Into Tension As Secrets Take The Wheel

Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger #8 features the first divide among the team, causing friction in an overwhelming battle. The latest episode of the 48th Sentai series revealed hidden truths about Taiya’s goal, along with shocking discoveries.

Boonboomger features the entire team but now a spanner has been thrown as new reveals cause second guessing. The episode also features the Boonboom Offroad Ghost and a new Robo formation as BunRed faces Mad Rex once more. Tensions grow as doubt sets in the minds of the newest recruits which causes questions about their roles as heroes.

Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger currently consists of five heroes, with Taiya recruiting each member of the team himself. The creator of the technology worked with Bundorio to create the Boonboomger team, with his riches helping to make it possible. Bundorio was revealed to be an alien as well as the Robo that becomes the Boonboom trailer, which can also combine with the Boonboom Cars. BunOrange was recently recruited to the team but has a deep history with Taiya, unlike Jou and Mira.

Boonboomger Steers into Obstacles as Heroes Lose Belief

The latest episode of Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger adds great tension as the true purpose of the Boonboomger is revealed. Taiya has lost the belief of both Mira and Jou after learning of the actual plans of BunRed and Bundorio. Mad Rex also added to the drama by causing an intense battle that left the team divided. Fans also get to see a new combination as the Boonboomger Robo struggles to win the day.

The Truth Bites Back

Taiya is feeling the heat as he is hit with both technical and trust issues in this week’s episode. This is due to Genba revealing that the Boonboomger was formed to race in the intergalactic BBG, instead of fighting the Hashiryan. This has caused a huge and exciting divide as Jou, Mira, and Saibu are shocked by the real purpose. This is added by the struggle to use Boonboom Racing and the devastating fight against Mad Rex that shakes faith among the team.

The episode has been a fantastic change of pace that finally adds thought and new speculation regarding series development. There was also a great twist for the evil side of the story as Yeiyei didn’t grow while taking in Gyasolin. This leads to a devastating surprise as Mad Rex squishes them to get the power to grow. This created a great empathic moment for the trio as it was hard to not feel shocked and concerned for the evil car. There was also no road fight or Kurumaju featured, allowing Mad Rex to take the spotlight.

Team Dynamic Steering Off

Whereas the team started at full throttle, doubt has been placed for the newest members Jou and Mira. This has produced a fantastic way to look at the relationships forged between members and Taiya. Thus showing how becoming a hero can blind truth and reality, which was the case for both new members. There is also a great contrast as both Genba and Ishiro demonstrate a grounded approach, proving they have a stronger connection and history. However, there was also a clear sign of a developing relationship between Bundorio and Saibu.

Tense Combat Favours Mad Rex With Minor Sillyness

With episode 8, there is also a great highlight on the villains of the series as Mad Rex adds bigger turns in events. At first, Mad Rex appeared to be a weak General but this hot blooded foe has now proven himself to be a great challenge. There is also a great character that has emerged as he offers Taiya an opportunity to join him, creating a bigger gap between team members as Taiya seems to consider it. This is a fundamental part of his character that finally shows a negative side, adding much needed build to the negative aspects of his attitude.

There were also fantastic hits and moves featured in the episode, including hard hitting strikes and electrifying consequences. This includes some surprising new attacks from Mad Rex and the electrifying cage used to stop the trapped four from changing. There were also some great shenanigans from the villainous trio as Dekotorade, Ittasha, and Yeiyei kept a lighter side to the episode. This included the cute response to Mad Rex’s demands, using silly deceptive disguises, and even getting trapped with the heroes.

Purpose and Flare for New Car Series Additions

The opening of the episode featured a new take on the Highway Space as the team races each other for testing and leisure. This includes the debut of both Boonboom Offroad Ghost and a sneak peek of Boonboom Racing. However, the Robo battle has been one of the most intense features as Mad Rex rides his converted weapon, forcing the team to keep trying combinations. This led to a surprising combination with both Offroad Boonboom cars, creating the Boonboomger Robo Puncher. It was also brilliant to see the screwdriver break off, allowing for a reason to switch modes.

The Robo fight was also perfectly used to create a tense scene that conducts an even match. The team also faced overloads and members losing their ride increased the overall suspense. The punch collision between Mad Rex and Boonboomger Robo Puncher also perfectly established how harsh this episode was. This great combination of moments in the episode has been the perfect setup to install another level of tension for the next episode as Taiya falls unconscious. It will be exciting to see more tense episodes like this in future releases as the story progresses.

For delivering a big divide and negative impacts, we give Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger #8 a total score of 8 out of 10.

Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger will continue with episode 9 on Sunday, April 28th, 2024. The 48th Sentai will feature the next tense instalment with the debut of Boonboomger Robo Knight.
