The post series Kamen Rider Gotchard movie has been revealed, releasing in cinemas near the end of February. Join Ethan as they explore what’s been revealed and their speculations on plot of this new movie.
Late on Thursday, fans stumbled across a private teaser video for Kamen Rider Gotchard’s first V-Cinema online. Before too long, the video was leaked and made available to all.
Opening with Mr. Minato saying something to the class we see shots from the series ending the fifteen second announcement teaser with Haruto and Rinne saying something to each other while standing under Sakura trees and the obligatory new movie promo pack tease.

The following day, Toei’s official Gotchard account on X made the following post, revealing a new poster of our three heroes and their final forms, including a link to the video that leaked the day before.
Plot Speculation
That’s right. It’s that part of the movie announcement article where Ethan tries to make an educated guess about the plot, based on almost no information.
We already know that one of the main themes of Gotchard is connections and bonds between the Chemies and the Gotchard gang. I think the movie will be about saying goodbye to those connections and this will mainly be explored though Rinne going on to somewhere other then Hotaro after graduation, perhaps to super alchemist college. A new villain Rider, likely someone not from the alchemy world, rejects the Chemies arrival causing chaos and leading to an ending where the Chemies (and maybe Hotaro) go to live on the new Earth he made during the finale. This would also set things up for any more V-Cinema’s to have the normal “main rider is unavailable solve this yourself everyone else” status quo.
The biggest plot thread I believe is left hanging from the ending of Gotchard is Kamedoon, the 102nd Chemy that was introduced in the lead up to the episodes where the summer movie takes place. It’s possible that this movie will finally see Kamedoon actually get caught, which would tie a nice bow on things as the Gotchard gangs final adventure before they split up.
Another less likely but still possible option is that Legend comes back and the real threat of the movie could be Neo Hundred. It would be a missed opportunity if they do come back and they don’t call them Thousand, or something.
Either way, this is purely speculation, going off the finale and what I feel like is the most likely way this will go. A Rinne focused movie about her having to part ways with Hotaro after all the positive impact that goober had on her life seems way more likely than “they reveal who Hotaro’s dad is and he’s evil.” Does anyone really care who Hotaro’s dad is at this point? That’s not a plot point that really goes anywhere interesting, is it? Either he’s evil and joins the ranks of Rider’s many, many, many evil dads or he’s good and probably dies… there’s not much there.
Either way, we will, at some point, get a full trailer and see more plot information. With the movie launching in cinemas for a limited time, we might see full plot details online a little quicker but we’re still going to be waiting until early 2025, most likely.
