Tsuburaya Productions have released a short teaser trailer for the upcoming instalment in the Ultraman series, Ultraman Omega. Join Sean for a quick look at the hidden details to be found within!
Hey all, Sean here again and, would you look at that, we’ve come completely full circle. When I began as a writer here at The Toku Source, I made my debut with an article talking about the Ultraman Blazar’s teaser, which released alongside Ultraman Decker Finale: Journey to Beyond. Recently, Tsuburaya Productions’ various social media accounts released the teaser for the upcoming Ultraman show, the name associated with it being “Ultraman Omega”.
While we can only really make out the colour of the new Ultraman’s eyes and the shape of his colour timer, we did get a glimpse at the main weapon he’ll be using: a slugger, akin to Ultraseven and Ultraman Zero. Given that Ultraman Zero is celebrating his 15th anniversary, I’m certain Zero will be playing a part in the journey of this new hero.
The trailer ends with a simple phrase, “When They Awaken”, with many now theorising what this could mean. Does it mean the new Ultraman and his host? Does it mean kaiju and aliens, or does it means a secondary Ultra? Only time will tell.
