Hope you’re not feeling too ‘bitter’ by todays reveal! We’re not too choco-late with these updates!
Welcome all and one to another SODO Sunday with myself! Today, we have a pretty dark and bitter addition to the SODO Gavv line. We also finally get a look at a sweet form teased months back and mentioned in the last edition of SODO Sunday. A small addition but plenty to get excited about!

SODO Kamen Rider Gavv #3
The Bandai Candy team really seem to be giving us fans fragmented reveals this rider season; first SODO Gavv #2 reveals delivered over multiple blog posts and now the same for SODO Gavv #3. In one hand, it ensures more SODO Sunday content for y’all here but, on the other, I miss getting a whole set revealed at once! Regardless, today’s reveals are both bitter and sweet, but not bittersweet!
Anyhow, make way for…
Kamen Rider Bitter Gavv
Making his debut in the show recently is the Cola sweet powered dark version of Shoma: Kamen Rider Bitter Gavv. Toei sure love their dark Riders and Bitter Gavv is just so…*Le Chef Kiss*. I have to also mention that Cola flavoured sweets are some of my absolute favourite so in a way, this feels like representation!
As you can see in the model render, the undersuit is more or less the same as Gavv’s; the difference being in the sticker designs. The face mould is also pretty flat, so if you’re a hobbyist who prefers to hand paint their SODO figures instead, you may face some difficulty here!
Of course like Gavv before him, Bitter Gavv will come with his Bitter Gavvgablade!
Unlike S.H. Figuarts, SODO will actually ensure you get the respective weapon with the respective Rider, without having to buy another character for it. Now who’s bitter?! Certainly not me… Nope. Maybe a little…

Now, moving on to something ‘sweeter’…
That old tease finally comes to fruition today! Presenting Kamen Rider Gavv Chocodan form!
But wait, that’s not just his regular Chocodan form…
By utilising an optional set of stickers and an additional shield accessory, you can recreate Kamen Rider Gavv Chocolate Bone Form; a form created by consumption of the Charapaki Gochizo. The shield itself looks genuinely delicious as it replicates the real world chocolate candy in question. A chocolate candy I want to try for myself sometime!
As I mentioned previously, the Chocolate Bone form is an optional set of stickers, so if you want to display both Chocodan and Chocolate Bone Form simultaneously, you’re going to need two Gavv bodies and two Chocodan form sets!
Unfortunately, we’re at the end of this iteration of SODO Sunday. Like any good SODO Sunday, it was short and sweet… and a little bitter. Maybe even a little bittersweet.
Keep in mind that SODO Kamen Rider Gavv #3 is due to hit Japanese shores next month (March 2025)!
