Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind is the upcoming 2D brawler releasing this month. The game developed by Digital Eclipse will be released in a range of titles and will merge 90s gaming nostalgia with the 30th anniversary of Power Rangers. The game will be released on all modern platforms and will allow players to become the Rangers from the series that started it all. The game has already shown teasers of the diverse gameplay, including co-op brings players together to fight as a team.

6 – Megazord Combat
Although it may not be especially spectacular, it’s great that Megazord combat still features alongside the other components of the game. The unique perspective of the combat keeps a form of immersion while also granting the exact type of mecha combat you’d expect from Power Rangers. We were also glad that there is a mechanic that enables co-op to still include the Megazord, with the buildup of success leading to a satisfying finisher that is worth celebrating. We can’t wait to experience Megazord battling in the game along with the monsters that players will need to fight against.
5 – What Will Robo Rita Do To The Timeline?
The new game features a fantastic return to the original series by invoking the 30th anniversary special’s Robo Rita. Players will be able to go back right to the beginning of the story, as seen in the first episode that started it all. Aside from the expected story fans will experience from the original series, we are looking forward to seeing how this Once & Always influence will have as players progress. It also likely fans will have to fight Robo Rita, so it’s going to be interesting to see how powerful they are in the game.
4 – Dynamic New Challenges – Bikes and Rides
The gameplay offers a fantastic selection of challenges as you progress through the story, each enhancing the experience. This includes time crystals that rewind time if not destroyed before they activate. However, the most dazzling including new perspectives and alternative combat that fans have seen teasers for. From riding a roller coaster while shooting foes to riding Ranger Cycles, there could be a lot more epic challenges that await discovery as players pass each level.
3 – Power Up! Strikes and Green Ranger Hype
Each Ranger has some fantastic attacks that all the Rangers can use in the game. This includes special moves that add that high-powered feel when you activate each Ranger’s weapon and Dino-infused effects. These effects in battle with vary, including Zack’s special freezing enemies with Mastodon power. It’s great to play all 5 Rangers and see these different abilities but it is also exciting to unlock the one and only, Green Ranger. It’s likely fans will have to fight the evil version before unlocking, but this could also mean fans get to use his iconic powers and maybe even his Dragonzord.
2 – Zord Combat
This is one feature that makes this Power Rangers game stand out above the rest as players control their Zords. Described as Star-Fox-inspired levels, fans will be able to control and fight in their Zords before forming the Megazord. This is a delightful feature that makes the difference as most Power Rangers games happen to be games with Power Rangers in them. This sets a new standard for the franchise as it will include a package closer to what fans should expect. It will be fun to experience this challenge, especially if fans can also use the Dragonzord when the Green Ranger is unlocked.
1 – Fighting With The Team
Any of these features wouldn’t be complete without the entire team, just like the Rangers. Taking on the entire experience wouldn’t be complete without friends to fight alongside and seeing the game as it was designed to be played. It will be exciting how each piece of the game will differ when with a group of other players, especially if all 5 Rangers can be used at the same time. It was revealed that co-op will be limited to two players due to development issues but hopefully, it won’t be long until the whole team can fight together.
