As Bakuage Sentai BoonBoomger nears it’s end, the official poster for No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger, the 49th instalment in Toei’s iconic Super Sentai franchise, has been leaked online. The poster offers an enticing first glimpse of the team’s vibrant designs and introduces intriguing elements such as the henshin device, mecha and most importantly our heroes!
The upcoming series, No. 1 Sentai Gozyuger, the 49th instalment in Toei’s Super Sentai series, has had its official poster leaked online, last week, sparking excitement among fans. This leak provides an early look at the aesthetic and team design ahead of its planned reveal.
The series, succeeding Bakuage Sentai Boonboomger, had already been teased with a trademark registration filed by Toei in late October 2024.
The leaked poster reportedly features vibrant costumes for Gozyuger, highlighting Gozyu Wolf (Red), Gozyu Lion (Blue), Gozyu Eagle (Green), Gozyu Tyranno (Yellow) and Gozyu Unicorn (Black). Notably, Gozyu Unicorn makes history as the franchise’s first full time female Black Ranger. Meanwhile, the gender of Gozyu Lion remains ambiguous, with the male members confirmed as Red, Green, and Yellow.
From this poster we can also see that Gozyu Wolf is wearing a ring on his left hand and are holding a hand sword changer on his right hand. This will be known as the HenshinKen TegaSword. This changer will also be able to act as the body for each Gozyuger’s mecha. The gimmick for this season are rings. It is currently unknown what the names of these rings are but there will be three types:
- Personal Rings
- Ability Rings
- Legend Sentai Rings
The poster also showcases Gozyu Wolf’s personal robo. All five Gozyuger are set to receive their own personal robo. The personal robo is a combination of each’s personal ring as the head + Henshin Ken Tega Sword acting as the body of the mecha.
The bodysuits seem to resemble a genie suit with a ring inspired chest armour on the middle of it which could hint towards the secondary theme being Genies or something along the lines of mystical, coincidentally falling 20 years after Magiranger!
The suits also have a some of gold on them which give them a regal and armoured look similar to KingOhger. Noticeably this would be the third season in a row where the suits do not use the traditional shiny spandex and have instead opted for a vinyl like material, similar to KingOhger. However, the black accent colours (Grey in the case of Unicorn) of the body suit do seem to be spandex.
The helmets of the suit seem to resemble and animal inspired ring with the visor being the face of a ring. The helmet too contains gold as an accent colour and all have intricate detailing for each animal.
More information for No.1 Sentai Gozyuger is expected to drop within the next few weeks and months!
