Hello everyone. It’s been a while since our latest ‘state of the union’ status update so I thought I’d take five minutes to bring you up to speed with everything going on with The Toku Source.
When I last posted, I informed you all that the majority of our stock was going into storage to prepare to put our house on the market. This happened and things have progressed well. My wife and I have accepted an offer on our house and had an offer accepted on our onward move. These things take time (a lot longer than they should!) but we’re hoping to be in the new house in early 2025. It needs a lot of work so it won’t necessarily be a case of move in and normal service is resumed but, at the very least, the access to all of our stock will be there.
This upheaval does mean that, unfortunately, we won’t be holding a Twelve Days of Tokumas sale as we have done every year since we started. We did have the massive clearance sale before doing all of this moving business, though, so hopefully you took full advantage of that.
Preorders and new items continue to come in and go out to customers at a steady pace. As we head into next year, a new Super Sentai series and the second half of Gavv items, we’ll continue this service throughout the move. There might be a slight delay for the week we actually move but things should transition pretty smoothly on that front.
Finally, I wanted to give a shoutout and share my thanks to the wonderful group that do freelance writing for The Toku Source. They’ve put up with a lot these last few months as they’ve waited, very patiently, for me to publish their articles and sort things out for them. The new job that I took and started in late September took its toll on my spare time; there was a lot to fix in a place that had been through a great deal of turmoil but that is calming down now, freeing my up to handle the excellent content they submit on a more timely basis.
While it’s not quite ‘the season’ yet, I would still like to take this time to wish you all a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Thank you for your continued support of The Toku Source.
