Power Rangers: Across The Morphin Grid #1 grants fans fantastic details for iconic characters with both mind blowing and delightful stories featured. The release from BOOM! Studios highlight stories across time as Ranger actors power up the world with new tales.

The latest anthology collects all new tales for various Rangers seen in the 30 year history of Power Rangers. This includes significant instalments, mind blowing additions and a delightful extra to characters from a range of seasons. Zack, Tanya, Billy, Rocky and even Chloe provide magnificent shorts that expand the Morphin Grid in surprising and fun ways. Although short stories, the added adventures provide amazing new ways to dive into Power Rangers lore that will feed fans with epic memories.

Power Rangers: Across The Morphin Grid #1 is a unique anthology comic that combines iconic Ranger actors with talents from the comic book world. More cast from the history of the franchise have joined Amy Jo Johnson and Meghan Camerena as they add their own touches to the characters they have portrayed. The stories include instances across time and space with Meghan Camerena returning with new stories featured by Walter Jones, David Yost, Nakia Burrise, and Steve Cardenas.

Power Rangers: Across The Morphin Grid #1 consists of five amazing stories that each hit in different ways. As stories from the iconic actors that portray them, fans are gifted with incredible moments that further deepen the bond with these memorable characters. With each featuring their own vibe, there are many incredible treats including some mind blowing events and surprising additions to the overall story in the Power Rangers universe.

Billy Metamorphosis Adds Survival Intensity With Major Mighty Morphin Feature

David Yost features an impactful tale for Billy as he pushes himself to secure the Power Eggs in the Morphin Grid. The story features a mix of tense perseverance from the character along with brilliant Mighty Morphin references. There is so much mystery as Billy deals with a lose of an ally as he runs from hunters of the eggs. The comic features a great combination of nostalgia, reflection and new features, which fills each panel with wonder.

Adriel is a new being that fans are introduced to in the story, who has a captivating appearance. The new character acts like a great voice of both reasoning and encouragement, while Billy is hearing iconic lines from his teammates. It was brilliant how much Yost feeds in the potent lines from his cast mates during such an intense struggle. The short journey is also elevated by these moments, with all four of the main team featuring as Billy barely escapes from his foe’s clutches.

Patrick Mulholland and Ellie Wright provide a fantastic setting in such a small span of pages, with the adventure giving vibes similar to Voltron. It was incredible to see the contrasts of colour used between the lines of the Rangers, the present characters, and Adriel. The use of the Power Coin symbols also heightened the feelings of trust tested in the episode. It was brilliant to see these connections used so potently, while featuring a great exchange between Tommy and Billy in hospital. Seeing the Rangers talk about their newly acquired titles provides a great suggestion to when this event may have occurred, while also ending the story with a satisfying result.

Tanya’s Heavy Metal Provides Zeo Powered Twist to Once & Always Continuity

Nakia Burrise provides a greater glimpse of the present as she establishes Tanya closer within the Cosmic Fury series. Fans finally see the Yellow Ranger established as a music producer, while also retaining her Zeo powers for an incredible short story event. Burrise and JD Sutphin cleverly include Aisha and Adam as SPA, while also adding the Machine Empire’s Gasket for his overdue claim of King.

The journey perfectly entangles many elements of the Zeo series and recent installments together. Seeing Tanya come to the rescue of Aisha during Adam’s capture also provides a stellar insight into the relationship between veteran Rangers. It was delightful to see the bond between Aisha and Tanya but was also genius to feature the Zeo Crystal as Gasket’s target. The emotional road trip of memories from Adam was a great way to outline his journey and bond with Tanya.

Tango also manages to beautifully capture the essence of the characters as they would be seen today. The remarkable likeness of Aisha and Adam as seen in the Once & Always cameo brings the entire story to life thanks to the modern nostalgia. JP Jordan also uses perfect tones that epitomise the Yellow Ranger, providing her essence in each scene. The biggest surprise of the story was seeing the solid romance between Tanya and Adam, which was a momentous way to conclude a story by making the audience desperate to see more.

In The Red: Sibling Dilemma Directly Deals with Expected Worry in Power Rangers Lore

Mat Groom and Steve Cardenas finally touch upon a major concern, while returning fans to the Mighty Morphin era. Rocky’s sister is placed into the spotlight as a self narrated instance that sees the character discover the Red Ranger’s identity. The short story perfectly deals with themes of confidence and self doubt, which is resolved so potently in just a couple of pages. It was great to see the temporary female Red Ranger enjoy the powers and fame of a superhero within this universe.

Seeing the switch to a monster attack from bulldog dramatic switched the feel, with panic in effect when Raina realises her position. Rocky intervening was a highlight of the comic as he walks his sister on what to use and how to do it. The writers have managed to perfectly spotlight what is means to be a Ranger, while adding suspense and the heroic nature of Rocky. It was brilliant use of lore too and establishes so many significant facts about the dangers of using a Morpher without the use of bonding.

The story outlines so much of the latest lores with the original series, allowing a blend of recent instalments like Dino Charge to connect with its predecessor. Anand Ramcheron and Franceso Segala also highlight many great instances in the story, as they manage to capture the unstable connection. It was brilliant how they managed to make it feel like you could experience Raina’s pain. As short story that tackles self confidence and Power Ranger lore, this is one of the best releases fans of the series should read.

An Apple A Day Captures Mighty Morphin Peak of Original Series

Walter Jones places a unique highlight on Zack as the Black Ranger utilises his talents in his early years. The Ranger was often see working with youths, but the short story gives fans a greater instance of his influence. The short event perfectly captures a day we expect to see from the Mighty Morphin series, while spotlighting Zack’s elusive and adaptive fighting style. Jones also brings in Zack’s trust of the team, along with showing how compassion and overcoming fears can inspire others to do the same.

Although it is a great story that provides a meaningful plot during the Mighty Morphin heyday, the story doesn’t provide any significance to Zack’s overall story compared to other shorts in this anthology. However, it does capture the iconic episodic spirit that fans know and love from the original series of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. Stanton also adds a great youthful look to characters that provides the impression of how early on this story may have occurred. One essential addition is the dynamic capture of Jones’ Hip-Hop-Kido that is also perfectly illustrated within the story.

Chloe’s Chaos Kitchen Perfectly Captures Hyperforce Humour With Iconic Features

Meghan Camerena unleashes the joyous shenanigans of her unique series, as Chloe and Vesper host an odd cooking show. The short story takes fans along memory lane while perfectly capturing the essence of the characters. This includes the Halloween themed episode that features the unconventional moments from the TTRPG episodes. Burritos also finally make their return as the food of the series, with Candy-rito featured as prime invention from both Hyperforce Rangers.

Camerena seeks to capture the amazing silliness of the Black and Pink Rangers, capturing emotions that fans hardly see in Power Rangers. Fans get some delightful shots of the Rangers in action, but the greatest highlight was Alpha 55 intervening. The cartoonish fun of the duo is beautifully illustrated by Paulina Ganucheau and Rebecca Good. The lighthearted themes that transpired in the livestreamed series also feature, with a quirky finish that ends the story exactly how you’d hope. The anime-esque struggle was a true laugh to indulge in, highlighting how perfect Hyperforce is as a potential animation adaptation.

For an incredible range of stories for beloved characters in Power Rangers, we give Power Rangers: Across The Morphin Grid #1 a total score of 9 out of 10.
