In a brief announcement, we learned today that a new Godzilla film is in the works and could be a sequel to the critically and culturally acclaimed, Godzilla Minus One.
It is a good time to be a Godzilla fan right now! As the UK rerelease of Minus One occurs, and the run up to the home media release begins, Toho recently released a video to the Godzilla Official YouTube channel, announcing a brand new Godzilla film, with Minus One director Takashi Yamazki returning to write, direct and handle VFX, leading many to believe the upcoming film is a sequel to last year’s critically acclaimed Godzilla Minus One, the film having won the first Oscar in the franchise’s history this year.
You can catch Godzilla Minus One on Netflix, or for 3 days only, see a theatrical rerelease of the film, with the home media release coming this December.
