Melissa Flores featured as the final writer for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comic series with the finale of Darkest Hour. The 30th anniversary event concluded the 8 year long comic series that featured a fresh take on the Mighty Morphin series. Along with characters from the first and second seasons, events allowed for a variety of time bending additions to feature and comic original teams. Power Rangers Prime was revealed to continue the Power Rangers comics, with a completely different storyline than the TV series timeline.

Boom! Studios have captured the imagination of Ranger fans with their onslaught of originals. With MMPR: The Return concluded and Ranger Academy ending soon, this new story will be the most exciting release for Power Rangers after such glorious content. The cover by Dan Mora will likely raise the most questions as the Mighty Morphin redesign perfectly invokes questions regarding its incredible new look. It’s amazing how it features a cluster of familiar faces while providing a whole new world to explore. As the amazing Samurai Red Ranger, Lauren, features, it will be curious to find out why she is being hunted and why it draws in new characters.
