Brand New Super Sentai Mecha DXROBO Universe Toyline Unveiled

Gattai! All the new details about Bandai’s newest toy brand of Super Sentai mecha: DXROBO Universe.

The newest DX toyline for Super Sentai fans has been revealed! The announcement was made on their X social media page, complete with a teaser trailer, a catchy original jingle for the toyline and a brand new webpage featured on the official Bandai Super Sentai toy site.

This is a brand new deluxe release of previous Sentai mecha, the first three robo revealed being Engine Sentai Go-Onger’s Engine-Oh, Gokai-Oh from Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger, and ToQ-Oh from Ressha Sentai ToQger, currently celebrating its 10th anniversary.

The gimmick of these new releases? In true Super Sentai fashion, combination! DXROBO Universe owners can mix and match different body parts between their giant robos, opening up a door for endless possibilities and creativity. You can finally make your own mecha!

Combination

As previously stated, DXROBO Universe’s unique selling point is that these rereleases of Sentai mecha can now mix and match parts; each robot having a detachable head and limbs connected to a torso piece, along with an attachable weapon sculpt.

With each piece of the mecha connected by a ball and socket joint, it allows for an easy method of disconnecting and reattaching limbs and pieces to a different mecha.

Each mecha shares the same exact torso mould, allowing for any body part to connect with another mecha seemlessly. Check out the combination between Engine-Oh and TOQ-Oh below!

Engine-Oh

The first of the three currently announced DXROBO Universe toys is Engine-Oh, who comes with the Engine Partners Speedor, BearRV, and Buson, as well as his signature Go-On Sword.

The figure is priced at 5,280 JPY, and is slated to release October 19th, 2024.

ToQ-Oh

Just in time for ToQger’s 10th birthday, the next giant robo is ToQ-Oh. Just like Engine-Oh, it comes with the five vehicles piloted to combine into the mecha: including Red Ressha, Blue Ressha, Yellow Ressha, Green Ressha and Pink Ressha.

Equipped with the Railway Crossing Sword, ToQ-Oh is also priced at 5,280 JPY, releasing alongside Engine-Oh on October 19th, 2024.

Gokai-Oh

Lastly, Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger’s own pirate themed mecha Gokai-Oh is the third DXROBO Universe mecha to be revealed. It’s separate body pieces include the flagship Gokai Galleon, the Gokai Jet, Gokai Trailer, Gokai Racer, and the Gokai Marine. While less pictures and info are available at the moment for the Gokai-Oh figure, it is to be expected that it will also come with a handheld weapon sculpt, possibly the twin Gokai Ken swords.

Kaizoku Gattai Gokai-Oh will release slightly later this year, December 28th 2024, priced at 5,280 JPY.

The packaging for the line has also been revealed, sporting a sleek yet minimalistic appearance.

We also got a closer look at the toys on display at the Tokyo Toy Show in Akihabara, showing off all the different attachment pieces, the accessories, and different combinations between the three currently revealed mecha!

The display additionally featured a wallpaper of every single current Sentai mecha, hinting at future releases of other giant robo for the DXROBO Universe line.

The DXROBO Universe line will release this Autumn, beginning Engine-Oh and ToQ-Oh in October. Preorders for these items are available now from The Toku Source.

So, something interesting I noticed. You can remove all the purple parts from the ByunByum Mach Robo and you end up with a skeleton that looks identical to the insides of these guys, colour, detail everything. My theory is that, when we get the ToQger crossover, there’s going to be a new mecha combination with ByunByum Mach and the arms and legs of ToQ-Oh a la King Kyoryujin.
