Revealed via social media, in anticipation of the upcoming new Kamen Rider series, details about Kamen Rider Gavv’s secondary rider, Valen, is available for your delectation.
What’s up, Riders! We got some new Gavv news to go over alongside this weekend’s press event. Released on Toei’s official Gavv channels, join Ethan as they check out the newly released information and go over it all.
Let’s start this off with the teaser trailer released on YouTube channel. It’s only fifteen seconds long so there’s not too much to talk about with it.
First off, we see a very cool mid transformation shot of our main character, which honestly looks like the same effect they did during Zero-One’s finale. I gotta be honest, if the reason why Gavv looks similar to Rising Hopper is to make it easier for the CGI artists to reuse that really cool effect, I’m very much okay with it!
Next, we see Gavv after what we can assume is the moments post monster explosion and all the little snack scrimblos cheering. If we hold the shot and zoom in we can see… COOKIE ONE?! Gavv cookie form confirmed? You have to assume it would be a shield type form, right? Maybe reusing the Fourze shield mould again but cookie themed? A lot to think about but I’m sure artists will be making their best guess as to what the form will look like.
Lastly, we have a different Rider altogether. We know this because he isn’t wearing the Gavv henshin belt. This Rider is fighting what looks like the monster we saw them filming for in the BTS stuff I talked about over here. This is Kamen Rider Valen, as in Valentine’s Day and he’s the chocolate themed secondary Rider for this season.
We even got an updated poster showing him off more as well as the white chocolate scrimblo he uses to transform into his base form.
We also have these for the Gashapon version of the white chocolate gimmick item, so there’s a closer look.
We even have this from the Rider toys account showing at Valen themselves and a closer look at his changer: the “clearly also doubles up as a weapon” Chocodon.
First Powerup for Valen?
Shifting to the rumour mill now, and similar to the article previewing Gavv rumours months ago, we also have some sketches and mockups for Valen, including his first alternate form. Since the first image was right on the money with his base form, I’d like to share this one now, as it’s likely correct about their first powerup.
That’s right… DOUGHNUT MODE!
