This past fortnight has revealed much more information surrounding the newest upcoming Kamen Rider series, Kamen Rider Gavv, including new forms and the Henshin belt for Gavv!
The Kamen Rider franchise has always been known for its innovative and imaginative designs and Kamen Rider Gavv is no exception. Introducing a unique fusion of festive imagery and sweet treats, Kamen Rider Gavv brings a delightful twist to the beloved series.
Henshin Belt Gavv
Central to this new hero is the Henshin Belt Gavv, a transformation device inspired by sugary delights!
The Henshin Belt Gavv is not just any transformation device; it is a carefully crafted piece of equipment that blends elements of a cotton candy maker with the cultural symbolism of a shishimai—a lion dance costume commonly seen in Japanese festivals and celebrations. The belt’s design features a mouth and nose resembling the shishimai, adding a festive and fun aesthetic to Gavv’s henshin!
Henshin How To
Open the Mouth: The transformation begins by opening the mouth of the belt.
Insert the Poppin Gummy: A gimmick based on a gummy sweet, the Poppin Gummy, is inserted into the belt.
Close the Mouth: Closing the mouth triggers a funfair like standby music
Crank the Handle: Cranking the handle charges up the belt.
Press the Side Button: The final step involves pressing the side button, which completes the transformation into Kamen Rider Gavv’s Poppingummy Form.
Four New Forms for Kamen Rider Gavv
Kamen Rider Gavv isn’t limited to just one form. The introduction of four new forms adds versatility and excitement to Gavv’s arsenal. Each form is accessed by using a different type of Gochizo (special transformation item) in the Henshin Belt Gavv, and each is inspired by a different sweet treat.
Chocodan Form

- Description: This form grants Gavv the user a cowboy like armour with the richness and robustness of chocolate dripping down. The Chocodan Form’s armour is designed with deep brown colours, evoking the luxurious appearance of high quality chocolate.
Gurucan Form
- Transformation Item: Gurucan
- Inspiration: Lollipop
- Description: The Gurucan Form is characterised by its vibrant and colourful design, reminiscent of a swirling lollipop. This form grants Gavv a mecha like form.
Fuwamallow Form
- Transformation Item: Fuwamallow
- Inspiration: Marshmallow
- Description: Soft and fluffy, the Fuwamallow Form provides Gavv with exceptional defensive capabilities. The armour is predominantly white with puffy armour all over, embodying the light and airy nature of marshmallows, and offers cushioning against attacks. This grants Gavv a sumo wrestler/yeti like form.
Zakuzaku Chips Form
- Transformation Item: Zakuzaku Chips
- Inspiration: Crisps
- Description: With a crunchy and edgy design, the Zakuzaku Chips Form emphasises offensive power. This form equips Gavv with wavy armour plates and is designed after a samurai.
