Your First Look at the Penultimate MIGHTY MORPHIN POWER RANGERS Issue!

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #122 offers the first look at the last issue of the comic series. Darkest Hour will conclude with two more instalments as BOOM! Studios will feature the last issue and a big finale graphic novel.

The last issue of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers will conclude a year long anniversary event as well as the 8 year span of the series. Bringing in a plethora of Rangers throughout time and space, struggle for survival leads to a great clash between them. With only two instalments remaining, check out the first look at the penultimate release coming this month. 

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers was revealed to be concluding alongside the end of the Darkest Hour. From Lord Drakkon to the Omega Rangers, BOOM! Studios has granted fans an amazing range of originals for fans of the Morphin Grid. The 30^th anniversary of the original series was given significant releases as part of the celebration, with the Darkest Hour starting in August 2023 to July 2024. Although the series will end, Power Rangers Infinity #1 will feature as a new one-shot with a whimsical new story in the Power Rangers Universe. 

Final Issue Reveals Tense Preview 

BOOM! Studios, under license by leading toy and game company Hasbro, Inc. (NASDAQ: HAS), revealed a first look at Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #122, the penultimate chapter of the DARKEST HOUR event, taking place after the bold and greatly anticipated Reunited, Recharged era of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers from writer Melissa Flores (Power Rangers, The Dead Lucky) and letterer Ed Dukeshire (The Woods, Irredeemable)! The lead up to the conclusion of this monumental 12 month event will be available in July 2024. 

Series artist Simona Di Gianfelice returns for the penultimate chapter of DARKEST HOUR, revealing the consequences of Billy’s actions, shattering the trust of his fellow Rangers. Meanwhile, Dark Specter has devastating plans, and The Ranger Slayer will need help from an old ally to find their salvation… Witness a shocking cliffhanger ahead of the finale, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Darkest Hour #1, that will leave you stunned! 

Mighty Morphin Power Rangers #122 features main cover art by star artist Taurin Clarke (Miles Morales: Spider-Man) and variant covers by acclaimed illustrators Björn Barends (Spawn), Goñi Montes (Mighty Morphin Power Rangers), Rafael Sarmento (I Am Batman), Martin Simmonds (The Many Deaths of Laila Starr), and a limited BOOM! Studios Direct Reserve exclusive variant by Mateus Manhanini (Briar)! 

Celebrating 30 continuous years on the air, Power Rangers has become one of the longest running kids’ live action series in television history, with more than 900 episodes aired to date. Created by Haim Saban and launched in 1993 with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, the series celebrates its 30th year with Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always, an anniversary special streaming exclusively on Netflix. The 30th overall season of Power Rangers, “Power Rangers: Cosmic Fury,” is currently available exclusively on Netflix. 

The final issue is a bittersweet development for the Power Rangers franchise as an exciting conclusion will feature shortly after the release. However, a big announcement has been teased by BOOM! Studios that will feature at SDCC this year. Although there is a one-shot oddity coming up next, it will be exciting to see what the comics could debut next. Without a new live action series, this could be a new series that will excite Power Rangers fans around the world.
