Shift gears and speed into the details of the latest Boonboomger Minipla set! Get a load of what’s to come ‘Boon’!
Good day, Toku Sourcers! The air is alive with the smell of tyre rubber as we speed up with the latest Boonboomger Minipla reveals straight to your social media! Series 2 gave us half a dozen vehicles for multiple Boonboom Robo combinations; this time the Bandai Candy team are pumping the brakes and giving us less. In this sense, less is more as we get ByunByum Mach Robo in this set!!!
Let’s not waste any time and race right into the details…

ByunByum Mach

We begin with the ‘star’ of this set: the ByunByum Mach. Very obviously inspired by a Formula 1 racing car. ByunByum Mach is the robo assigned to the recently revealed BunViolet, the sixth member of Boonboomger!

On top of being a really cool looking vehicle, if you look closely you’ll see the vehicle form also mimics the look of a racer driving the car! A very neat addition to it’s design.

ByunByum Mach Robo stands at a cool 15cm; exactly the same height as Boonboomger Robo! You can easily pose both side by side as allies for play or display. That trademark Minipla articulation is also here as you can see in the images above.

You can also prop the visor down to create Byun Diesel! You can display him with Bundorio Bunderas, assuming you got Minipla set 1. Both the aforementioned characters will scale with and look great beside the upcoming S.H. Figuarts Boon Red figure!

The wings and weapon can be combined with Boonboomger Robo for additional arsenal and transportation method.
Boonboom Marine

BoonBoom Marine also joins the set! The Bandai Candy team have done a decent enough job trying to recreate the silver details on the fish and ladder designs via stickers!
Boonboom Safari

Joining Boonboom Marine is Boonboom Safari! The details, like the previous vehicle, are well captured here. One thing I like about Boonboom Safari is the addition of a face on the vehicle which feels reminiscent of Engine Sentai Go-Onger! I actually kind of wish all the vehicles had faces like the aforementioned season, given how they all contribute to the combination of Boonboomger Robo, all playing a part like team members! The Bandai Candy team could easily remedy this by just giving us Boonboomger compatible Go-Onger vehicles.
Please Bandai?!

By utilising both Boonboom Marine and Boonboom Safari with the previously released Boonboom Trailer, you can create Boonboomger Robo Monster.
For the first time, the vehicle itself becomes a head instead of utilising a unique headpiece. The neck and mouth of Boonboom Marine are highly moveable and lend themselves to the articulation of Boonboomger Robo!

As to be expected, similar to the previously released Minipla sets, Boonboomger Minipla Bakuage Gattai Series 3 will release with six boxes to form all of its contents. Personally speaking, it’s kind of a bummer that this set doesn’t include a little 2D Boon Violet similar to the Boonboomger character standees in the first set…
Perhaps in the next one please Bandai?
I’ll cross my fingers with hope! That’s gonna do it for now folks. The minipla series seems to be following the same release path as the DX toys. My guess is set #4 will contain the awesome and newly revealed Boonboom Leo Rescue!

Boonboomger Minipla Bakuage Gattai Series 3 is expected to release on Japan shores on August 12th, 2024! Don’t delay in getting your orders in. You don’t want to be last in the race for these…
