It’s about to get wild with todays edition of SODO Sundays! Take a bite out of the latest SHODO news and get a giant look at this months CHODO Ultra offerings!
Good day folks! We’re back with another edition of SODO Sundays. For Kyoryuger and Power Ranger Dino Charge fans, we get a good look at the the upcoming SHODO Super Kyoryuger set. Following on from that is a deeper look at this months Ultraman CHODO set: Ultraman CHODO Alpha #9!
You know me, lets not wait around and dive straight in!
SHODO Super Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger
I honestly didn’t expect them to reveal this set so soon after the initial tease, but more SHODO reveals is always good in my opinion! For those that missed out on the Kyoryuger S.H. Figuarts or the Dino Charge Lightning Collection figs, this is a serious set to consider, albeit at a smaller scale, but the sheer amount of accessories and detail is all here in standard SHODO fashion!
First up is the Fanged Hero, Kyoryu Red! It’s worth mentioning now that each Kyoryuger member will come with their respective Zyuden arm. So Gabutyra Fang is here for your enjoyment!
The Bullet hero, Kyoryu Black! Complete with his Parasa Shot. It’s also worth mentioning at this point that all the details here are painted on. I think the only sticker here is in the buckles!
The Armoured Hero, Kyoryu Blue! Complete with his Stego Shield!
The Slashing Hero, Kyoryu Green! Complete with his Zakutor Slasher!
The Horned Hero, Kyoryu Pink! Complete with her Dricelance!
Together they form the strongest braves in history, Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger!
Along with each members Zyuden Arms, each Kyoryuger will come with their respective Gaburevolver, Gaburicalibur and will come with the respective parts to form the Gaburu Cannon! These weapons, like the Zyuden Arms will utilise stickers to capture the details on the small scale.
Along with the Zyuden Arm pieces is another set of already combined Zyuden Arms that will allow you to create and utilise the Kentrospiker.
Finally, a look at all accessories included so you can see for yourself that SHODO never misses!
Here’s how the figures will scale with the upcoming SMP King Kyoryuzin Minipla set!
Why not take the crossover further and have the entire Kyoryuger team up with Kingohger, via the previously released YUDO set!
And for those disappointed that the other members of Kyoryuger aren’t included in this set, fear not!
They will be coming; very likely via a second set so don’t miss out on this opportunity to complete one of the biggest Super Sentai teams in history!
The SHODO Super Zyuden Sentai Kyoryuger set is scheduled to release in January 2025! Don’t delay in getting your orders in for these.
CHODO Ultraman Alpha #9
The latest Ultraman CHODO set releases this month and while I’ve talked about them previously, here is your reminder with a better look via more shots!
First up is Ultraman Ribut! Compared to previous releases in the CHODO line, the figures in this set feature a new sculpt to allow for more range in articulation. His Galaxium Blaster effect is included with the figure. Meanwhile his Ribut Blocker and Spreader Rod are included via the optional accessory pack!
Next up is Shining Ultraman Zero! His shining wide Zero Shot effect and Ultimate Aegis armour is included with the figure but the optional accessory pack includes pieces to turn the Ultimate Aegis armour into a bow and arrow to recreate the appearance of Ultimate Shining Ultraman Zero!
Next is the OG himself: Ultraman. He appears again since his appearance in Ultraman CHODO Alpha #4. The Jet Beetle is included with the figure. His Spacium Ray on the other hand is included via the optional accessory pack.
Note to self: I need to find out where to get these small scale buildings!
Now we have Ultraman Jack! His Spacium Ray is, of course, included but you’ll need the optional accessory pack to obtain his Ultra Lance.
Last of the bunch, we have Astra! Astra’s Ultra Key is included in the optional accessory pack but does come with the Ultra Double Flasher effect piece which you can combine with Ultraman Leo who appeared in the Ultraman CHODO Alpha #2. You can also add Ultraman Regulos who also appeared in Ultraman CHODO Alpha #2 to recreate the iconic Galaxy Fight!
Now we move onto the monsters..
Ultraman CHODO Alpha Monsters #1
First up is Gomara! Like the previously mentioned Ultraman set, the new range of CHODO Alpha Monsters feature newer sculpts to allow a range of articulation. The tips of Gomara’s tail can also be attached and detached!
Next up is Red King! It’s worth mentioning that the Kaiju set doesn’t have an optional accessory pack, which will be a relief to some I’m sure!
Next is Alien Baltan! He definitely seems photogenic as hell under the low light settings and the images here really highlight that!
Lastly, we have Alien Mefilas! Ultraman’s greatest rival! Recreate the stunning duels of the original Showa era.
That’s gonna do it for now though! Remember, both Ultraman CHODO Alpha Set #9 and Ultraman CHODO Alpha Monsters #1 release this month! Again, get your orders in as soon as possible to avoid disappointment!
