Memorial Edition Go-Phone Announced as Go-Onger Prepare for a Full Throttle Return

With the crossover imminent between the current car themed series, Bakuage Sentai Boomboonger, and 2008’s Engine Sentai Go-Onger, what better time for Bandai Japan to announce a brand new Memorial Edition Go-Phone?

Do you feel the need? The need for speed? Clearly, Premium Bandai does! This announcement of a Memorial Edition release for Engine Sentai Go-Onger’s Go-Phone comes just weeks after the Memorial Doron Changer announcement, as part of the 30th anniversary of Ninja Sentai Kakuranger.

Set to release January 2025, the set will include the Memorial Go-Phone and one Change Soul, permitting you to transform into one of the three users of the Go-Phone, Go-On Red, Go-On Blue, or Go-On Yellow.

Change Soul

When you press the newly added back button, sound effects such as “the sound of opening the Go-Phone lid” and “the sound of preparing the Change Soul” will activate. The device also includes character lines such as “Let’s go at mach speed!” and “Change Soul, set!”, as well as background music (BGM) will play and an illuminated LED.

Main Changer Details

Like with past Memorial Edition releases, the screws on the front and back of the body have been hidden, giving it a more realistic appearance and a more show accurate look. Setting the Change Soul, will activate the standard transformation sound of the chosen Go-Onger.

In addition to this we will be able to hear voice lines of Go-On Red, Esumi Sousuke (played by Yasuhisa Furuhara) and Engine Speedor (voiced by Daisuke Namikawa). These voice lines will include: “Engine-Oh Combination,” “G6 Formation,” “G9 Formation,” ”G12 Formation,” “Opening Theme,” “Engine Sentai Go-Onger” as well as “Engine-Oh! Tune Up!”.

The changer will also allow the user to activate “Engine Combination Mode.” By entering various codes with the keypad.
