The characters of Ride Kamens have been introduced, one every day for the last five days. Join Ethan as they dive into this and meet the Kamen Riders of Ride Kamens.
During my last article about Ride Kamens, I didn’t really talk much about Rainbow Face City, the location the story of the game is set in, and that’s because it will let me transition into talking about the newly revealed riders very seamlessly.

From this image of Rainbow Face City, we can see its split up into a number of districts each with a faction of Kamen Riders linked to them. While there are a couple of locations relevant to the game, that we won’t be talking about, like the Masked Cafe “Camouflage” or the central district, the main ones we want to pay attention to are the ones with their own Riders. Each of the five characters they teased us with last corresponds to a different faction of Riders. We will look at these in reveal order.
Mad Guy: Riders of the Industrial Area
Inspired by Kamen Rider Den-O’s Momotaros and representing Mad Guy, we have Kyosuke Araki, who transforms into Kamen Rider Araki. His character profile describes him as:
A tough guy who is particular about being the “strongest.” He is extremely hot blooded, quarrelsome and harsh spoken, but he has a strong and honest personality. He usually works part time at a butcher shop in the market.

Slam Days: Riders of the Entertainment District
Inspired by Kamen Rider W’s Shotaro and Philip and representing Slam Days, we have Lance Tendo and their other personality Q, who together transform into Kamen Rider LOQ. These two detectives are described in their online profiles as:
Lance is a detective who is intelligent and good at deduction. He has a dual personality with another mischievous personality, Q, created by Chaosism, and they fight for control of each other’s bodies. He is a bit unfamiliar with tech and prefers to solve puzzles using analog methods.
Q is a young man who likes mischief and has a devilish personality. Using the information he has obtained online, he sets traps for Lance and other Kamen Riders and enjoys watching their reactions.
From these descriptions and the emphasis on one side in Lance and Q’s profile pictures its clear Lance is the one inspired by Shotaro and is in charge of the black/purple side and Q is the one inspired by Philip and is in charge of the green half.

Wisdom Thinks: Riders of the Commercial district
Inspired by Kamen Rider Zero-One’s Kamen Rider Jin and representing Wisdom Thinks, we have Hayate, who, as you might have guessed at this point, transforms into Kamen Rider Hayate. His profile on the website describes him as:
In charge of the floor of the lounge “Wisdom”. He has a bright and friendly personality and is a mood maker who never stops smiling. He is interested in a variety of things, but his hobbies change frequently because he gets bored. His motto is to never allow more than 3 seconds of silence in a conversation.

Tower Emblem: Riders of the Corporate District
Inspired by Kamen Rider Zi-O’s Kamen Rider Woz and representing Tower Emblem, we have Taiten Takato who, bucks the naming trend by transforming into Kamen Rider Toten. His profile on the website describes him as:
President and CEO of Takato Enterprises. A businessman who is so busy that his schedule is filled with work commitments for several months in advance. While watching over his younger brother Uryū’s growth, he is also harsh on him as a member of the Takato clan. He uses four-letter idioms.

Justice Ride: Riders of the Educational District
Finally, inspired by Kamen Rider Ichigo and representing Justice Ride, we have Saigo Mikami. He transforms into Kamen rider Saigo. His profile on the website describes him as:
A cool and quiet young man. He works at his own pace and doesn’t have many emotional ups and downs, but he’s just not used to communicating. He doesn’t hesitate to ask questions about things he doesn’t understand. His fighting ability is extremely high, and even his senior riders respect him. His hobby is collecting insects and plants.

Following the final reveal on the fifteenth, the official Twitter/X account posted the following:
The part I’d like to draw your attention to is the second paragraph which, according to Google Translate, reads as this “the remaining 11 people will be announced next week, starting on Tuesday, February 20th! Please pay attention.” With that in mind, stay tuned to The Toku Source for round two of Ride Kamens character introductions, coming soon!
That’s a lot of cool new riders but what do you think of them? Do you also think Taiten Takato’s brother is going to be based on Zi-O? As always, I’ve been Ethan, also known as ImmortalTaro: writer, reviewer and the Ride Kamens Rider for The Toku Source and I’ll see you next time!
