The KingOhger Ohger Calibur Memorial Edition was revealed as the latest upcoming release from Premium Bandai. The Changer from the 47th Super Sentai series has been revealed as the highly anticipated collectable that upgrades the design to a show accurate scale.
The long awaited Memorial Edition release for the Ohger Calibur will feature a range of improvements, including enhanced LED lighting effects and lines from the cast. Ohsama Sentai KingOhger is the 47th Super Sentai series that started in March 2023. The insect themed Kings of Chikyu used the Ohger Calibur designed by President Yanma Gust, who based the technology on the Ohger Calibur Zero. The five reigning kings used the transformation device to call upon a Shugod’s power and acted as a mark of their right to rule. The deluxe toy version of the changer was part of the initial first wave but the Premium Bandai release was anticipated to include the full scale as seen in the series. Many weapons and changers from the Super Sentai series will be released in 2024 as Memorial Editions, including items from Kyoryuger, Dekaranger, and Donbrothers.
Surprising Memorial Edition Revealed For 2024
Ohsama Sentai KingOhger Ohger Calibur has been revealed as a Memorial Edition release as part of the 2024 schedule. The new Premium Bandai release features a 150% scale compared to the deluxe toy, with 10 LEDs included for spectacular and improved visual effects. The transformation sword will measure 830mm in length and will also include two buttons for BGM and dialogue modes. The Ohger Calibur Memorial Edition will also include 5 BGM songs, including ‘Zenryoku King’. ‘I will Rule The World!’ ‘Descend! King Ohger’, and more.
Lines from the cast will also be featured in the Ohger Calibur Memorial Edition, including Gira Hasty (Taisei Sakai), Yanma Gust (Aoi Watanabe), Himeno Ran (Erica Murakami), Rita Kaniska (Yuzuki Hirakawa), and Kaguragi Dybowski (So Kaku). The opening narration will also be featured in the lines for the Memorial Edition Changer, as Ikeda Masashi adds the introduction from his storytelling character, Jeramie Brasieri. Activation features for the transformation, attacks and Shugod Summoning will still be the same as the DX Ohger Calibur.
This is the moment fans of KingOhger have been waiting for as the 47th Sentai has been very popular. This full scale Ohger Calibur has been on everyone’s wish list since the DX Changer was first revealed in 2022. It’s amazing just how much more effective the LED lighting will be and the rainbow blade effect has been brilliantly captured better than before. With the popular Ohsama Sentai soon concluding, this Memorial Edition release will likely sell out fast so it will be interesting to see what other items will be added to the lineup.
