In recent days, new information has come out about the Gotchard X Geats Winter Movie and the Geats post series V-Cinema. Let’s jump in to all the latest!
Kicking off the updates, the upcoming Geats V-Cinema has revealed it’s title – Kamen Rider Geats: Jyamato Awakening. Posted a couple days ago on the official social media was a new minute long teaser and a new poster, the name of the movie as well as a synopsis.
Some time has passed since Ace Ukiyo ascended as a “god” and became the overseer of the peaceful world he left behind. However, a single bullet tears through that peace and a mutant breed of Jyamato appears. The appearance of this particular Jyamato is capable of causing the extinction of humanity, with no-one realising that this is the harbinger who gave rise to the God of Destruction itself, the God Jyamato. Then a white haired Ace appears, who then transforms into Kamen Rider Dooms Geats and attacks both Tycoon and Na-Go. Just when everyone is confused, another Ace appears. Meanwhile, Beroba approaches Michinaga and awakens the dormant Jyamato powers inside of him. Just what is the ominous power that this Buffa possesses? Also what is the truth behind the existence of the “two Ace Ukiyos”? As the birth of the God of Destruction approaches every moment… just what will the Kamen Riders do in order to protect this world and humanity?!
Between this synopsis from the official fight and the trailer, seen below, we can make a good guess at a couple of things. The lady we see turn into a Jyamato is the one that will turn into the God Jyamato, Doom Geats is Ace from the future coming back to kill that lady because the future ends up awful (and every villain in Geats related media must be from the future!) Everyone else ends up fighting over what will happen to this lady, including present day Ace himself. Regardless of how right I am, or not, please look forward to my eventual review when it is available.
Moving on to the Gotchard x Geats news, late during the night (UK time) Oricon news posted a story on social media focusing on the reveal of the movies theme song, “All for Love” by Blank Paper.
The song makes its official debut in the new thirty second long teaser, which can be viewed below. They also reveal the main villain of the movie.
Spoiler Warning: you will want to have seen episode 15 of Gotchard before watching the trailer as the first moments reveal who the villains of the movie appear to be.
First things first, is that Another Geats? I mean technically it is Another Geats but its not an Another Rider, the kind from Zi-O. No this ‘Other Geats’ is called Geats Killer – something the official movie social media account and the news story later needed to clarify when they realized in the story they had actually referred to it as Another Geats.
With that out of the way, let’s get to the part where I alter my movie plot prediction slightly, shall we? We just need to make minor changes to some of the details surrounding the villain of the movie and how Ace gets knocked out of ‘god mode’. It’s not someone from the future (seemingly, but we still don’t know their backstory yet) its Licht Kugimiya and there are good odds Geats Killer is made by X-Wizard taking Aces God powers. Still, like the Geats V-Cinext you can look forward to my review of this movie, as well.
