Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger revealed the upcoming V-Cinema movie celebrating its 20th anniversary. The Sentai will feature a brand new form for DekaRed, along with a new SP License release.
Dekaranger is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a feature filled movie that sees the iconic Space Police cast return. Along with a new story, the leading Red will be given a new power as a highlighted addition to the event. A trailer for the upcoming movie for 2024 has been unveiled and even the first look at the new SP1 License given to Ban.
Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger will be celebrating its 20th anniversary after its predecessor, Bakuryuu Sentai Abaranger. The 28th Super Sentai was first released in 2004 and was adapted into Power Rangers SPD in 2005. The Sentai consisted of five members as the base team, followed by two additional members, with three extra members that had a limited debut. A 10 Years After movie featured for the Sentai during its last big anniversary, which saw DekaRed promoted to captain of the SPD Fire Squad and given a new form.
Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger 20th Fireball Booster
The 20th anniversary of Dekaranger will feature a new Summer V-Cinema movie as Ban becomes Premier DekaRed. The whole main cast of the 28th Sentai series will reprise their roles in the upcoming movie, with a new SP1 License making its debut for DekaRed to access the new form. In addition to a limited release in cinemas within Japan, the Bluray and DVD release of the movie will allow fans to obtain the new SP1 License. The new form consists of a full upgrade to the suit and helmet with the Fire Squad badge still included.

The new Premier DekaRed is the perfect upgrade that fans have been waiting for, showcasing how big a 20th anniversary can affect a Sentai series. The details and armour aspect of the new form are worthy of calling an upgrade, better matching the sleek high tech vibe seen in the Sentai series. It’s also fantastic to see the whole cast reunited once more to bring an even bigger release for fans to enjoy. With the SP License Memorial Edition also released next year, fans will be even more desperate to obtain it, along with the unique SP1 License that is a limited release for the physical copy of the movie.
As the SP License is getting a Memorial Edition release, it’s great to see that the new Changer will have incredible new activation sounds to be hyped for. The only downside is that the whole team doesn’t get an upgrade, but it was great to see both Doggie and Swan included in the 20th anniversary story. The only thing that has yet to be revealed is the villains for the movie, along with the full range of abilities that Premier DekaRed will have. It will be interesting to see how this new mode is born, especially since an overwhelming challenge is teased in the trailer that is yet to be revealed.
Tokusou Sentai Dekaranger 20th Fireball Booster is scheduled for limited screening in Japan in the early summer season of 2024. The Bluray & DVD release of the movie is scheduled for November 13th, 2024, with the SP1 License available as part of a limited edition set for the physical copy.
The new SP1 License will feature new sounds related to the new Premier DekaRed. The Dekaranger SP License Memorial Edition is scheduled for release in Japan in March 2024.
