Power Rangers Cosmic Fury Morpher Concept Art Revealed by Designer

Cosmic Fury Morpher Concept Art

The designer of the original releases for Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, Tracey Trix Collins, has revealed the concept art that gives fans a better look at the Morpher and the Cosmic Orbs.

The revealed artwork for the 30th Anniversary season of Power Rangers also includes various features that are seen in the trailer but also reveals significant details regarding the functions previously revealed by Simon Bennett. The concept art also grants fans a look at the Morpher before it is finally seen in action when the season airs on Netflix.

Tracey Trix Collins is a production designer for TV and film, who has been behind many concepts and designs for the Power Rangers franchise. The artist has been behind many iconic Power Rangers seasons from Power Rangers Dino Charge to Power Rangers Dino Fury. Along with character designs for Solon and the Morphin Masters, Collins has designed many sets seen for Power Rangers Beast Morphers and recently, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Once & Always. For Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, she has gone above and beyond to help create new original creations for Power Rangers Cosmic Fury, which have been shared by Simon Bennett on social media.

Cosmic Fury Morpher Revealed by Real-Life Morphin Master

The concept art gives a detailed look at both the Morpher and the Cosmic Orbs used by the Rangers. Both will replace the Dino Keys and Dino Fury Morpher, with the Orb inserted to activate the morph sequence. Fans will also notice that the amazing design hasn’t been included in the toy version released by Hasbro, with many details for the Cosmic Orb removed.

Other functions of the Morpher are also illustrated in the design, including the communication function that features Solon projected in the Orb. The full look at the Cosmic Orb also reveals a ring around the object, which was seen in past images. The details of the interior of the Morpher are also seen better thanks to the concept art, which shows the input area where the Orb is inserted. The images also reveal the exact size and scale of the Morpher for fans who want to know the full measurements of the design.

The design is such a brilliant work of art that showcases how amazing Power Rangers originals can be. It’s an absolute crime that Hasbro hasn’t fully captured the appearance of the Cosmic Morpher for the toy, while also neglecting the Cosmic Orb feature that could have been a great collecting gimmick. This is likely due to reducing costs and including features like the show activated lights and sounds. It’s also great to see how the communication mode works and considering the Orb would fall out with the holder up, it’s likely that Cosmic Orb might be magnetically held in place.

With the full size and concept art revealed, fans are likely already making their own Cosmic Fury Morpher since fans love show accuracy for cosplay and their collection. It’s incredible how much detail Collins has placed into this Morpher design, showing how talented and detail-orientated she is. It will be exciting to see the Morpher and Cosmic Orbs in action, along with the suits and weapons that have also been designing by Collins and the team.

Power Rangers Cosmic Fury will be released on September 29th, 2023, and will be available worldwide via Netflix. The designs created by Tracey Trix Collins will feature in the 30th season, which are Power Ranger originals with no Super Sentai counterpart.
