Some breaking news with a hint of speculation as we get our first glimpse of new forms for Kamen Rider Geats and Kamen Rider Buffa.
With Kamen Rider Geats ending this week, we all knew it would not take long before information on the first of Kamen Rider Geats’ post series content would start to come out and, in conjunction with its final episode, it has. We have a movie poster and some images of Kamen Rider Buffa (Kazuto Mokudai) in their new form.
Further Leaked Sketches Confirmed
According to the same posts that previously gave us some leaked information, this form is called “Plosion Rage Form.” We even have a good look at the Raise Buckle, which is also consistent with the sketched leaks that showed off other Buckles, including Geats’ final form Boost Mark IX Raise Buckle.
Kamen Rider Geats Continues in V-Cinext
The V-Cinext is expected to release in Spring 2024, with Koichi Sakamoto coming into direct. This makes a lot of sense as they also directed the two Geats extra specials, Geats Extra: Kamen Rider PunkJack (2023) and Geats Extra: Kamen Rider Tycoon meets Kamen Rider Shinobi (2023), respectively, earlier this year.
The tagline for the V-Cinext is “the truth of the Jyamato will finally be revealed” which implies this movie will be delving into the origins of the Jyamato, the mooks in Kamen Rider Geats and, from the fact he’s sporting a brand new form, we can tell this will likely be a Buffa Focused movie. In addition to the returning four main Riders of Geats, we can see on the poster, five other characters are supposedly returning as well:
- Tsumuri (Kokoro Aoshima)
- Beroba (Ayaka Namiki)
- Daichi (Dai Goto)
- Sara (Nene Shida)
- Niram (Ryo Kitamura)
What role they will play in the narrative is yet to be revealed but we can make some educated guesses. Tsumuri, for example, will be supporting our four main characters mainly from the base. Sara will be either spending time with Keiwa or Neon and we will likely get some call back to her time as a Jyamato. Perhaps she will turn back into one because of the actions of the movie villain.
Daichi and Niram are easy to work out, Daichi as a reformed Jyamato would be a good place to start when investigating the secrets of the Jyamato, and Niram will probably return in the form of a flashback as a producer of the DGP he would likely know the answers to the questions the main characters are likely looking for.
Finally, Beroba, Buffa’s sponsor from the future. Beroba is someone that, outside of the main four, Buffa has spent maybe the most time with. I think she will be where Buffa gets his new form from. It’s unlikely she will be the main villain of the movie, instead making way from someone new that new forms, figures and toys can be made for. It would also be a good way to show the character having grown from their defeat at the hands of Buffa during the series.
Fan reaction to this information was met with caution, waiting for an official account to announce the V-Cinext and give us a full title. This information came following the Kamen Rider Geats finale on Sunday, with the official title being announced as V-Cinext Kamen Rider Geats: Special Report and getting a July 2024 release date.
