Power Rangers Hyperforce: Final Episode Recap

Power Rangers Hyperforce

The Power Rangers Hyperforce recap series concludes with a look back at the third part of chapter five as Season 1 ends with episode 25.

HyperRPG’s TTRPG series collaborated with Saban Entertainment to create a canon and original story of time-travelling Power Rangers as they face the Alliance of Evil. Each episode of the series was three hours long and featured many interactions with in-depth stories. With the upcoming release of Power Rangers Unlimited: Hyperforce #1, we are going to dive into the last release for the live-streamed series.

Power Rangers Hyperforce was an original series created by HyperRPG as a tabletop roleplaying game (TTRPG) live stream experience. HyperRPG originally planned a second season but the transfer from Saban to Hasbro caused the series to end on a cliffhanger. Recently, Melissa Flores took over as writer for the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers comics and was able to bring the team back. The new Hyperforce comic will continue from the events of episode 25, which features the direction Meghan Camarena imagined for her character.

Warning: The following overview of events doesn’t include significant moments of the Rangers individually. This includes detailed occurrences, in game outtakes, and character moments that would be lost to interoperation without watching, so ensure to check out Episode 25 of Power Rangers Hyperforce for yourself.

The Hyperforce Finale

This is the last recap for the first season of Power Rangers Hyperforce as its run ends on HyperRPG, with the two part finale finishing the story for the TTRPG. The last episode of the season includes episodes 24 to 25, which included major moments such as Thrax’s reveal, the appearance of Chloe’s Father, and the fate of the timeline in a cliffhanger. The last episode also featured Zac Lim Eubank as he portrays multiple characters including Mr. Ashford and various Time Force Rangers.

Concluding with Dark Reveal and Twisted Timeline

Power Rangers Hyperforce Episode 25 – Start of the episode, with Game Master dressed as Rita Repulsa for the finale.

As the Rangers continue to chase the Time Ship with Zordon aboard, Alpha confirms that only a few hours remain until Vesper’s new body is ready. The Rangers manage to enter the stolen Time Ship and Chloe inspects each room. The Rangers meet a mysterious man in a lab coat behind a force field who Chloe recognises as her father, Mr Ashford. Ashford tells Chloe he had been speaking to her through her locket, which is the voice she had been hearing in her head. He also reveals Zordon’s location in the ship but Alpha detects a Time Force energy signature as they talk.

Mr Ashford says under his breath, “She is ahead of schedule” and drops the force field between himself and the Rangers. He then informs the Rangers that they won’t be able to teleport as Scorpina has disabled the controls. As Ashford warns Scorpina via a communicator, Vesper downloads herself into her new body with all her memories returned from the charred chip. Vesper makes her way to the Time Ship control room where she confronts Scorpina, with Time Force Red, Wes, held hostage. As Vesper tries to attack Scorpina with her hair, Ashford threatens to destroy the other Time Force Rangers unless the Hyperforce Rangers leave him to talk with Chloe.

Chloe complies so that the Hyperforce Rangers can rescue the other Rangers, while Alpha 55 pilots the Phoenix Hyper Zord to take Marv, Jack and Eddie to the Time Ships with Time Force Ranger signatures. As Eddie deals with an Alliance soldier, he is caught in an illusion of a desert island with Vesper but manages to become aware of his surroundings and follows a prisoner’s voice. Jack encounters Goldar and damages his wing using his Crius Cannon. He manages to free Katie, Time Force Yellow, by shooting a control panel, which allows her to join the fight. Marv and Joe break down the door on their Time Ship, revealing Doomstone trying to revive Thrax. They combine their attack to knock him to the ground and free Lucas, Time Force Blue. As Joe and Lucas get into a heated discussion about their shared interest in Nadira, Doomstone takes the opportunity to leave and the Rangers catch up with him in the control room.

Back on the Time Ship containing Zordon, Chloe demands answers from her father while using her Pink Battle Warrior form. Mr Ashford sidesteps Chloe’s questions about her mother and he informs Chloe he has been planning this for a long time. As Ashford explains how things haven’t gone to plan, including powered up Rita and Zedd, he reveals the stolen Time Ship is rigged to self destruct if they can’t escape. Chloe warns the other Rangers about the self destruct sequence.

The Rangers continue to fight against their respective foes as they handle their given situations and all manage to return to the Hyper Time Ship thanks to Alpha 55. They then make their way to Chloe to help her now the team have regrouped. Chloe becomes enraged at her father and activates a whirlwind that begins to threaten the stolen Time Ship. After managing to calm down after feeling her mother’s presence, Chloe notices little lies suggesting that Mr Ashford isn’t telling the whole truth, but he then teleports away. Chloe tries to attack to stop him but gets knocked unconscious by her attack hitting a force field.

The Rangers manage to recover Chloe and Eddie revives her with a healing charge. The Rangers return to the Hyper Time Ship as the remaining stolen Time Ships disappear into the time stream. The Hyperforce Rangers decide to return to the year 3017 and try to contact Andros but only manage to get a hold of Aisha. Alpha 55 teleports Merlin, Aisha, Song and Gem back onboard the ship and the Time Force Rangers forcefully wipe their memories. Chloe decides to go off to be by herself for a while to think about her father.

Back in the year 3017, the Rangers are shocked to find three giant sculptures of Rita Repulsa, Lord Zedd, and Thrax. The group are confronted by an alternate timeline version of Jen Scotts from ‘The Resistance’, as they learn that it was set up to defeat ‘Lady Nadira’. The Rangers leave a communicator to stay in touch as they leave in their Hyper Time Ship. In 1998, Lord Zedd and Rita return home empowered by Thrax’s dark energy and with knowledge of their future fate to become good if Zordon dies. They then create a new and better Goldar, since he doesn’t return, and begin to plot their path to victory.
