Sentai Jackets Announce Lightspeed Rescue Jacket Release

Popular tokusatsu apparel importer, Sentai Jackets, have revealed their plans to produce an original jacket based on those seen in fan favourite series, Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue.

Cosplay has never been more popular in the western world. With a comic con in every city and fans of all ages clamouring to look like and pay homage to their favourite characters from television and film, the options for who, or what, you can dress up as are endless. Within the tokusatsu genre, this has never been more true. While expensive, Premium Bandai have been producing replica clothing, jewelery and props from Super Sentai and Kamen Rider for many years. With the help of specialist helmet makers like WildRanger5 and suit makers like Halu, you can ‘suit ‘Ranger Up’ as any morphing hero you like from the last 30 years. What has been lacking, though, is the availability of civilian based attire for your Power Rangers cosplay. Thanks to the American based company, Sentai Jackets, though, this looks like it’s about to change…

Imagine having the lightspeed jacket you always wanted as a kid, exactly the same as you remember it. Now picture it with real world functionality and modern tech upgrades you deserve as an adult.

Operation Lightspeed

The iconic hero jacket from Power Rangers Lightspeed Rescue is Sentai Jackets first foray into custom apparel. As seen worn by each of the Rangers throughout the 2000 series, the RESCUE SERIES Jacket is available to match the style of each of the six Rangers – Red, Blue, Green, Pink, Titanium, and Yellow – and offers the functionality to change up the military style patches at will.

The jacket itself is a made using tactical all-weather waterproof membrane fabric that is totally functional and integrates contemporary fashion updates, versatility, and style. The RESCUE SERIES jacket will undoubtedly attract attention anywhere it goes and offers incredible functionality, owing to its sixteen fully functional storage pockets, dazzling deep rescue orange fabric, black arm, and grey back panels. The RESCUE SERIES jacket features that signature slightly oversized look, equipped with waterproof fabric, internal pockets and shoulders/chest velcro that facilitates the interchangeable patch system.

“After countless conversations with fans at conventions and many comments to our website, it was an easy decision for us to create the RESCUE SERIES as our debut collection from Sentai Jackets. We have extensively researched and developed this design over the past 7 years. In order to create the most precise jacket fans have ever seen. We hope they are happy with the results! Also, by popular demand, we are privileged to offer an unmatched variety of sizes, ranging from XS up to 6XL.”
