Power Rangers Hyperforce will be making a triumphant return to the Power Rangers Universe as Boom! Studios have announced a new comic book series, Power Rangers Unlimited: Hyperforce.
The release, announced by Boom! Studios on Wednesday, will continue the Power Rangers 30th Anniversary celebration and will continue the story of the Rangers featured in the first canon tabletop RPG series started by Hyper RPG. The time and multiverse travelling Rangers will feature in the latest one-shot that will include the team in their first dedicated full length story as a comic installment.
Power Rangers Hyperforce was the first table-top RPG (TTRPG) live streamed series created for the 25th Anniversary celebration by Hyper RPG, in partnership with Saban. The series consisted of 25 episodes featuring an incredible cast of iconic actors and content creators, including Andre Meadows (Black Nerd Comedy) and voice actor, Cristina Vee. The original team were a direct sequel to Power Rangers Time Force and was included in previous comics including the Shattered Grid comic event. Melissa Flores was one of the writers of the TTRPG series and was, at the time, the Director of Power Rangers Content at Saban Brands.
As a TTRPG series, the live stream was led by Game Masters Malika Lim Eubank and Zac Lim Eubank as part of Hyper RPG’s Twitch lineup. The series featured an original game system created by Malika Lim Eubank, which focused on the use of six sided dice. The show was also an interactive experience that allowed viewers to affect the game by gifting bonuses to the Ranger Players, including increasing damage and likelihood of success by adding to dice. The series ended on a cliffhanger, which left fans desiring a continuation and future releases.
The Hyperforce Returns!

Boom! Studios continues to celebrate the Power Rangers 30th Anniversary with prolific Power Rangers storyteller, Melissa Flores (Mighty Morphin’ Power Rangers, Radiant Pink) and acclaimed writer, media personality and voice of the Hyperforce Pink Ranger in the Hyperforce RPG, Meghan Camarena (Radiant Pink, Radiant Black). Alongside artist Federico Sabbatini (Moon Knight, The Dead Lucky) and colourist Bryan Valenza (Witchblade, Ghost Rider), the team will be bringing back the beloved Hyperforce Rangers from the TTRPG web series to their first dedicated full length one-shot comic in Power Rangers Unlimited: Hyperforce #1.
Mistress Vile, formerly known as Rita Repulsa, and Dark Specter have invaded the Morphin Grid! As the dark contagion spreads and puts the Rangers in their most vulnerable state yet, the HyperForce Rangers will have to scour the multiverse for as many unexpected allies as they can, while they’re pushed to their limits…
Power Rangers Unlimited: Hyperforce #1 will feature a standard cover by Keyla Valerio (Power Rangers Unlimited: The Death Ranger), with variants by fan favourite artists Goñi Montes and InHyuk Lee. All creators and contributors have spoken out about their upcoming release that will finally bring back the Hyperforce Rangers since the series ended in May 2018.

“HYPERFOOORCE! It’s nearly impossible to put into words how excited I am to be revisiting the special group of chaotic misfits that is the Hyperforce team with Meghan, Federico and BOOM! Studios. I’ve never forgotten the incredible amount of love the TTRPG series received from the fans and I’m so thankful to be able to pay back just a little bit of that with a new adventure for them in this medium.”
Co-Writer Melissa Flores
“WE DID IT! Hyperforce lives thanks to the incredible Melissa Flores, Frederico Sabbatini, and BOOM! Studios. Together, we’re telling the Hyperforce tale right where it left off and you’re never going to guess where it takes us. Thank you to the fans for always believing in these characters and waiting for us to finish the story. It’s meant so much to me to bring Chloe back to life and I can hardly wait for you to read what she’s been up to!”
Co-Writer Meghan Camarena
“Working on Power Rangers is a dream come true! I’ve been a huge fan of the series since when I was a child and I wish I could tell the Federico of twenty years ago that this day was going to come. Working with Melissa and Meghan was amazing, we are a great team!”
Artist Federico Sabbatini

There is no one better to bring back the hype than Melissa Flores and Meghan Camarena, since both helped the creation of the unique series. It would have been amazing if Malika Lim Eubank was part of the team since she was the main game master for the series. It’s great that at least one Hyperforce Player is part of the writing team since they will capture the essence of all members perfectly.
There are so many iconic moments included in the first season such as Yoshi Sudarso debuting as Time Force Silver to Camarena’s burrito shenanigans as Chloe, both of which are highly anticipated features in the upcoming one-shot. Yoshi Sudarso also became Hyperforce Green during the final episodes of the series, with his Hydra Zord yet to be given any Megazord modes. Since Power Rangers Hyperforce reached it’s 5th Anniversary during October 2022, there has been no better moment for the team to return.

Power Rangers Unlimited: Hyperforce #1 will be available in comic stores on July 19th, 2023. Pre-orders will be available at local comic shops, with digital copies that can be purchased from content providers, including comiXology, iBooks, Google Play, and Kindle.
All episodes of Power Rangers Hyperforce are still available via HyperRPG’s official YouTube channel. Each episode is roughly 3 hours long as the series was a TTRPG experience.
