On March 17th, 2023, Shin Kamen Rider premiered in Japan, with its merchandise following quickly after it. Now, you may be wondering when you can get your hands on this movie’s tie in merchandise. Well, I can happily confirm that three Shin Kamen Rider toys will be making their way to The Toku Source very soon.
As confirmed to me by owner Jez, the following items will be coming to the website at a yet to be confirmed date:
S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider (Shin Kamen Rider)
Shin Kamen Rider DX Henshin Belt Typhoon
Shin Kamen Rider DX Henshin Belt Typhoon (No.2 Version)
To say I am excited for these items to be listed is a major understatement, as I am a huge fan of the “Shin” films, and I ordered many Shin Ultraman products from The Toku Source. If you’re looking for any more information on Shin Kamen Rider, I wrote about it in my previous article you can read here. Shin Kamen Rider is confirmed to have an international release, but the where and when is yet to be confirmed.
But now, I say we talk about the individual items, starting with:
S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider (Shin Kamen Rider)
This newest figure in the S.H. Figuarts Kamen Rider line, depicts this films version of Takeshi Hongo’s suit. It comes with a few accessories which I will now list off for you:
3 Pairs of interchangeable hands (Relaxed, Chopping, Grappling)
Coat
And of course, the figure itself. It looks to have a fantastic sculpt, fantastic paint applications, basically, it looks fantastic all around, and I can’t wait to own one. Next up is:
Shin Kamen Rider DX Henshin Belt Typhoon and Henshin Belt Typhoon (No.2 Version)
The DX Henshin Belts for Takeshi Hongo (White Belt) and Hayato Ichimonji (Red Belt), Kamen Rider and Kamen Rider No.2 respectively, the belts are approximately the size of a CSM Henshin Belt based on various images. Now, I am aware that there are the Legend Henshin Belt line versions coming, but the store is only stocking the DX versions at this current moment.
