Avataro Sentai Donbrothers VS Zenkaiger has been revealed as the special crossover theatrical movie releasing this year. This movie will be the 29th instalment of the VS series and has teased both teams uniting. The special will also debut new modes for both Zenkaizer and Don Momotaro, with prologue expected to explain Kaito’s story, how he became Zenkaizer Black and the admin for the 46th Sentai series. The special modes have also revealed a special Zanglass Sword and a new Avataro Gear, which will be released as limited release deluxe toys.
Avataro Sentai Donbrothers has recently concluded as the 46th instalment of the Super Sentai franchise, with a total of 50 episodes aired before handing off to Ohsama Sentai KingOhger. The series was an indirect sequel to Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger by including the gear based gimmick seen in the previous series, as well as Zenkaizer Black, Kaito, played by Kiita Komagine. Donbrothers completed its run with seven Donbrothers and 3 Noto Warrior allies, whereas Zenkaiger concluded with 6 Zenkaigers, 2 dark warriors, and a G-Rosso stage show exclusive member.
Avataro Sentai Donbrothers VS Zenkaiger Coming Soon
The special movie crossover for the 45th and 46th Sentai series teams will be given a theatrical release in Japan, with a physical media release to follow near the end of the year. The movie event has already teased the new forms for Zenkaizer and Don Momotaro, with a toy released for the DX Don Zenkai Blade and Victory Super Avataro Gear. Avataro Sentai Donbrothers VS Zenkaiger will include the recurring cast for both shows, which includes the following star actors and voice actors:

The upcoming release has already been revealed on social media with images teasing the story featured in the crossover movie. A prologue has also been leaked and shared that teases the explanation fans have been waiting for Kaito. This is due to the character becoming Zenkaizer Black, café owner and admin during the 46th Sentai series, for which reasons behind this story have yet to be revealed. The movie will take place one year after the finale of Avataro Sentai Donbrothers, while also taking place after Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger vs. Kiramager vs. Senpaiger for the team of Kikai Sentai Zenkaiger.
It will be exciting to finally find out about the origins of Kaito as he transitions from Zenkaiger to Donbrothers. The video leaked online showing Yacchan and the team reacting to Kaito’s action in Donbrothers was fantastic. Fans will be hoping the entire story is revealed for Kaito’s transformation, especially why he became Zenkaizer Black. This will be a highly anticipated feature special for fans that loved both teams and it will be amazing to see the return of Stacey and Kaito’s Father, Isao, since they can still transform into their ‘dark’ forms from Zenkaiger.
Avataro Sentai Donbrothers VS Zenkaiger will be released in cinemas exclusively in Japan on May 3. The special crossover movie will then be released September 27 on Blu-ray & DVD release, with the limited release of the DX Don Zenkai Blade and Victory Super Gear.
