Toei Company Ltd, the company behind Super Sentai and Kamen Rider, announced today that their president and C.E.O. had died at the age of 62.
Tezuka joined Toei in 1983 and, after a long period of service, joined the board of directors in 2012. This was followed by his becoming the company’s managing director in 2016 before being promoted to president and C.E.O. in 2020. A funeral service will be held soon, limited to close relatives, with a full memorial service to follow at a later date.
Managing director and company chairman, Noriyuki Tada, has taken on the role of president as of Tuesday.
